When and where can I get a great deal on a Disney World vacation?

Is there a particular time to book for summer vacations? I notice right now there are many deals for ski vacations. How much is considered a “good deal”? Also, is it recommended to stay inside or outside the Disney parks and would I really save money by buying park tickets in advance?

I am visitin kennedyspacecentre soon. Do we need to book for the tour that is included in the admission price?

We are going on holiday to florida and wondered if we had to book for the kennedy space centre tour that is included in the admission price and leaves every 15 mins or will it be okay to buy tickets etc when we get there. Is it also possible to get a 1 day disney hopper ticket as we only want to go to one thing at epcot and animal kingdom as have been before and using the rest of the holiday doing other parks.
