Greyhound: travel at day or night?
chris asked:
Should I travel by day or night?
Going from Raleigh, NC to Knoxville, TN (round trip). I want to travel on the least-crowded bus possible, and I figure that it would be least crowded at night.

I traveled there before via Greyhound in the early morning and the trip was pleasant (around 5am) but it got crowded later on and I ended up having some kid’s seat leaned back into my lap by 2pm.
I plan to travel 9pm-5am; would this avoid most Greyhound travelers?
I’m aware I am risking travel with shady characters this way. I prefer it to being packed like a sardine.

honestly I wouldn’t go either way, last time I took one of their buses we got trapped somewhere in Pennsylvania. But in hopes that it wouldn’t happen to you, then you should go by night.

An empty bus is not fun if it has more people because even if yer trying to sleep jammed next to sleep on ones that are full which is not fun if yer trying to sleep jammed next to fat person personally id go day even an empty bus is.
