Do you prefer hectic sightseeing holidays or relaxing lazy ones?

During my next holiday, I am thinking of going on a sightseeing tour. This is quite a hectic trip with a packed itinerary. On the first day, I’ll have to wake up at 5am to be at the coach pick up point by 6am for departure. Then every day (the tour is five days long), I’ll have to wake up at about 6.30 to commence our daily sightseeing. The good thing about this tour is that you get to see lots of places of interest in a short time. However, the downside of it is that it can be tiring.

Has anyone been on a similar tour? What was your experience? Would you recommend it? This tour includes a lot of time spent in a coach going from one place to another. Did you find it uncomfortable? Please share your experiences.
