can my supervisor order me to take my vacation days on specific days?

I have worked for this company for one year, according to their employment handbook, I am entitled to take 5 days vacations, I am planning a vacation to Hawaii and when I told him of my days off, my supervisor told me that I can only take Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, I told him about my Hawaii trip and he said, that is my problem, I can take those 3 days and 2 more any other week.
I was wondering what legal grounds this have?
